This hardy fern is native to tropical southeastern Asia, eastern Australia, Hawaii, Polynesia, Christmas Island, India, and eastern Africa. It is known by the common names bird's-nest fern (a name shared by other aspleniums) Although hardy, this fern needs a bright indirect light, the soil to be kept moist but not soaking, and frequent humidity. Best for a 5" pot with drainage. Standard potting soil is recommended.
