The gorgeous spotted pattern on Calathea lancifolia makes it a stand-out in the world of calathea. This plant is easy to care for, as long as it is in a bright but indirect light. It needs water whenever the top layer of soil feels dry to the touch. Since this is in the marantaceae family, it is sensitive to the trace amounts of chlorine in tap water which causes browning on the leaves. We recommend watering with filtered or distilled water. 4" plants best for a 5" pot with drainage, 6" plants best for a 7" pot with drainage. Standard potting soil is suggested.
