Phlebodium aureum is an epiphytic fern native to tropical and subtropical regions of the Americas. It is confined to the eastern side of the continents. Its almost blue green leaves make a beautiful sculptural fan shape, and its quirky fuzzy rhizomes (creeping terrestrial roots) make it a fun addition to any houseplant collection. It needs a bright indirect light, and its soil to be kept evenly moist, but not boggy. Best for a 7" pot with drainage. Standard potting soil is recommended.
